Are narrow hips normal?

    I have my first Sheltie who is now 20 weeks old, 14.8 LBS, 12 3/4" tall which all seems about normal mid range size according to the charts I have seen. I am wondering about his hips, them seem narrow. I have read breed descriptions but have not seen anything on the hips.
