It's 1am here and we're at the ER for Tully. She can't walk, her back left leg is injured. I did hear a crack so it may be break or cruciate tear. Her legs are already wasted from the steroids.

Poor girl. First the pond on Monday, then earlier today she found a chicken carcass, so she's already pretty sick.

Just waiting for ER vet who has her out back for an exam.

I lost Deska at this time of year.

Just about to crawl into bed. It's nearly 3am and I have to call the specialist at 8am.

The ER vet thinks Tully has ruptured her plantar-tarsal ligament, apparently there are 5 ligaments and he doesn't know if she has torn them all, but probably has. She will need surgery, possibly a fusion or they replace the ligaments with wire if it's not all of them. And apparently our lovely breed are more prone to rupturing this ligament.

I am way too tired to look it up atm so feel free to Google and let me know what you find.

She needs to go back tomorrow for x-rays and a splint while we wait for surgery. Poor little tyke can't catch a break.

Oh Caro, that's just crappy. Poor little Tully and how your heart must break every time she takes a turn. Sending virtual love and hugs to you both, I hope the vets can help her. :(

I just can’t believe what I am reading! Little Tully looked so happy and healthy in her recent picture. Now this! I am so sorry for both of you.
