Thank you. Certainly is a reputable source so that is good, but I am still very uncomfortable about recommending some foods and suggesting others are harmful based on the conjectures to date.

Indeed it is. True story - I was up in Portland Maine last September for Continuing Education at the NEVMA meeting. I was taking a series of lectures by the top endocrinologist in the country. So in the diabetes lecture he tosses out ' Incidentally, diabetes is almost unknown in cats who only eat canned food.' Needless to say he had a room full of stunned veterinarians. So someone asked ' So then you are telling us to recommend that all cats only eat canned food?' And with a smile he said 'That's right- and tomorrow morning we will have a lecture on the thyroid gland, and I will tell you why cats should avoid canned food, and only eat dry.'

lol Words fail me!!! We all love our pets and want the best, but so much controversy and so many dietary choices make it difficult. :/

I really try to read all the good threads about DCM - but I just have a hard time getting the right understanding because of my bad English (and google translate is even worse)

I only want the best for Minnie and have always bought good brands
    - and "Fromm adult gold" is definitely the best we have tried, for her "up and down" stomach
    - the product should be approved for European market
    - I read it as grain-free but that says - Oat Groats, Pearled Barley
    - as I see it, it can not be grain-free ??
    - which will only please me since I never wanted grain-free :confused2:

if there should be a friendly soul, who understand my bad english
who could help me on the right track, I will be so thankful :hugs

You're absolutely correct, Hanne. Fromm Adult Gold is NOT grain-free. Oats and barley are both grains, and it's a very good food my dogs thrived on for years. Oh, and your English is just fine!

"and your English is just fine"
