Ignore the horrible carpet and that they need brushing.
Real common. Interestingly at first it was Spitfire initiating it, as Sca NEVER allowed undignified behavior like dog piling. But tonight Angus was actually shifting more against Spitfire. As senior dog Spitfire approves.
Goodness, softening up a bit? Beautiful puppers!!!!
Oh no Spitfire was always all about dog piling (12 puppies). But Sca would not allow it as that was below his dignity. One of a few things he did not tolerate from Spitfire, another was he was NOT allowed in Sca's crate. Angus once approved as a resident got piled on. He actually likes it. But then as true senior dog Spitfire sets the agenda and Angus is happy to join in, even on stuff he could care less about like storms. He is all in on running amok with Spitfire for fun.
My boys are always laying together. More about Finnie having to be close to Piper than the other way around but since Finnie has been doing it since he was a wee pup Piper has gotten quite used to it. There have actually been a few times that Piper initiates it! It’s funny you mention how many in Spitfire’s litter...Piper was one of 7 and Finnie was one of only 3...perhaps he didn’t have enough piling when he was a pup lol.
I did get this one picture of Blueberry laying beside Finnie...this doesn’t happen much!
Love dog piles. My 3 now don't really do it, they will be close usually but not touching. Last night the girls were on the couch butt-to-butt though, then Faith's back leg ended up on Meadow's back.
Once in a while Layla and Beckon will lie close. I always melt when it happens!
So just to make a liar out of me (just posted mine don't really dog pile) these two did this:
Oh I wanna see mine dog pile! Deacon is either energizer bunny, super bratty younger brother or crashed and Brodie is too stuck up for something like a 'dog pile'! The boys are so funny, so different! I hope I get to share pics like these as they just melt my heart!
Awww that’s so sweet Sharon!
