Blue Buffalo was one of the foods that was implicated in the DCM scare I believe. Dilated Cardiac Myopathy. It is a controversial topic. Some of us switched foods after our vets warned us about it and there was a big discussion here. There is not absolute conclusive evidence yet, but anything with peas, legumes, potatoes was implicated. After much research and agonizing I switched to my vet's recommendation of Purina Pro Plan. I use the Lamb and Oatmeal since it was closest to what I was originally feeding (Wellness) without the peas etc. I was picky - did not want corn gluten etc. Dogs are doing great on it.

But to be on safe side I am going to put him on Lamb and Oats. Luke will probably enjoy the change

We also switched to Purina Pro Plan at the recommendation of our vet. We feed lamb and rice. Shelby gets itchy from chicken and when we tried the beef she ended up with colitis. So the lamb has been working fine for her so we just keep her on that. I’m afraid to try another protein.

I am going to switch Luke to lamb and oatmeal too. I hope it doesn't confuse him like it did Heidi, the sheltie/spitz mix. She didn't know whether to bark at it or eat it!

We get our on Chewy.com, delivered. Just make sure you transition Luke slowly like over a couple of weeks at least, or he might have tummy troubles and diarrhea.
