One 12 to 14 oz filet mignon
Garlic powder

Lightly dust both sides of Filet with garlic powder.
Let Filet sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
After 1 hour if it's still there move it closer to the end of the counter.
Repeat until inexplicably gone and a seemingly clean plate remains.:lol::lol:

How long would it last in your house?

Not long here with a notorious counter surfer & bunny killer!:eek2:

Back ealry in the spring,Earnhardt came into the kitchen,I had my back turned. He knows better, but the smell of a 4 tier yellow cake was cooling on the counter.

I'll be darned in a matter of seconds,he had counter surfed and gobbled a corner of one of the layers! I was so mad...and then of course I had to bake another layer.

Good old Ernie after my own heart!! Was this for a client?

Yes mame it was! A baby shower cake. I wished I had the camera handy that day.I actually had saved all the pieces, other than the ones he gobbled, and saved the cake as well to show Brian what "his" dog did.
As I knew Brian would say..my dog would never!!

Then ya know what...some folks thought Gee...Earnie the sweet lovable quiet lab WOULD NEVER do such a thing.Imagine trying to blame it on Bumper! Poor baby she gets blamed for everything.

One will stoop(or should say..stand up to) to all levels when they are on a diet~

At my house when Jo was alive 0.02 secs after my back was turned. She had the Lab counter surfing gene. She would be so proud of Ernie, as she in her lifetime ate 2 bitrthdays cakes , a pumpkin pie and the sheet of pumpkin bars my mom was going to take to the chruch for Thanksgiving, plus many other things.

With Jazz, JRT mix, about 1 sec as she would have needed to get a running start to bounce up into the counter. This is the dog I found standing on top of a 5 shelf bookcase eating cat food.

With Justice, it would still be there until it turned moldy and buggy and I threw it out. He loves beef but would never touch it unless I gave it to him.

With Ember, same as Justice but if some else knock it down she would grab it.

With Diva, until it was in the middle of the counter as that is as far as she can reach. If she could recuit Ember and bounce off her head about 2 secs.

At my house? Probably not long. The kittens would jump on the counter and snatch it. Rather then eating it there, they would drag it on to the floor. Once there, Gibbs would chase the kittens away and eat it himself...

Tough question! Bentley would probably stare at it and drool for hours and hours (he can't reach the counter). It wouldn't stop him from trying. Lexi would probably climb on top of Bentley to reach it.

But, if the cat were around, he would knock it down immediately for all to enjoy!

I would not know when it would be gone, it would happen so fast. My boy is tall is brilliant counter surfer...
we are learning and he knows but it is such self rewarding behavior!

At My house Not long, but the dogs would definately have a fight on thier hands beating me to it.
of coures I would have thrown it in a frying pan for at least a few minutes first, but then I usually always share too.
