and this morning i got locked out of the house....lockbox key gone (did i remove it before trip?)
waiting for locksmith....
this has been an awful 2 weeks
Gavin did sleep well last night.... during and after the prowler/peeping tom.
I on the other hand didn't sleep so well.

What prowler/peeping Tom? Did I miss something?
I really hope you called the police Cindy if you had a peeping Tom! I watch a lot (too much) true crime and there are a lot of crazies out there and sometimes they come back (just scoping things out for next time!)
I’m sorry you locked yourself out but please consider changing your locks since your key is missing and you had a peeping Tom!

Its been a hell of a 16 hours..
peeping tom broke into my teeney back yard last night.. scared the bejeesus out of me.
neighbor came down to check things out, he pushed the button lock I never use.
So at 6:45 AM in my PJs I locked myself out taking out the recycling.
I do remember doing stuff with the lockbox before I left, so it is very likely I took the key out.
I was at my neighbors for over an hour in the morning waiting.....friend/landlord showed up right before locksmith

its been a day.....

Oh jeez….that sounds horrible! Hopefully things improve fast for you!
I’d keep a close eye on things, hopefully it was just a random thing but you should still report it to the police.

Geez, Cindy, you aren't kidding it's been a day (and night!) Don't know why it seems that when things go south, it's in clumps. At least Gavin's doing well! Please take care of you, and as Lisa said, don't mess with prowlers. File a report, just in case.

planning to stop by police station after work. its a few blocks a way.
still car shopping. local toyota dealer had no corolla cross to drive so must look further afield (they do have a limited wait though).

Gavin slept through EVERYTHING. probably thought I was just out for the morning.
he did have free roam of the house last night and did well so I am letting him do the same today.

Oh holy cow - somehow I missed the part about the peeping tom. Good grief that would be scary for sure. I agree, you might want to change your locks. Glad you and Gavin are OK.

i found my spare key that goes in the lockbox.
made incident report at police. they keep saying I should have called them instead of my upstairs neighbor.
cause a 5 min response time (if i was lucky) would have made a difference when he was gone 30 seconds after I called my neighbor.
they did say he probably took off when he peeped in and probably saw me looking back.

I’m so glad you found your key Cindy! I hate to say it but I agree with the police, I’d have called them and then the neighbour but it’s great that you know your neighbour and can call him in a situation such as this! So many people move so much they never get to know the neighbours.
I hope you sleep well tonight especially having found that key!
