Good weekend at Flyball

It was a decent weekend of flyball. It was Spitfire's birthday and he was grumping as usual but did have fans wanting to pet him. As a birthday present I did not make him let them pet him. We saw a sheltie puppy and he was NOT impressed.

Sca did not run much only three races each day but was on fire Sunday. He did a 5.4 starting from 10' as he is the Whippet's security dog, if we go back to 32' the Whippet drops balls. So I know that the same run from proper distance and he could have been back to his old self of 5.0-5.2. Also he was growling as he came to the box, LOL. It is a Sca thing. When he is really tuned up he growls as he runs in, I think it is from having Spitfire trying to steal stuff on him when we play fetch. Regardless a growling Sca is a fast happy Sca. Only 500 points but Sca was perfect all weekend and that should get us up near #43 for Shelties, oh and his team was first both days.

Sca also saw the puppy and was sure she was a friend. She was less sure of him but was happy.

Lastly we got our 30K plaque. Earned it Jan2 but that was the start of the quarter so a long delay as they only give them once a quarter. His girlfriend Angel got her 60K. Pictures later as life tossed a mess of chaos at me Sunday.

Well by unclean strangers LOL. He had to get pulled out of his kennel and petted by me. But up on my lap he was fairly chilled as it is a safe spot (like under Sca which Sca hates). Of course set him down and back in his crate he goes. Then as soon as the door closes he puts his back to it, 'I don't see you, you don't exist'

 

World's most laid back Sheltie, his nickname on the team is 'The Good Dog' LOL. He can get wound up for flyball and chasing things but is super nice. He will give other dogs the ball or frisbee even after getting there first. You know they might want it also.

Though it was Spitfire's birthday and well he is a terror and the opposite of Sca
