Happy Sheltie Grandparents's Day!

I don't know if they celebrate this in other countries, and I was told by a few people at work they had never heard of Grandparent's Day. :uhoh: Grandparent's Day is always the second Sunday in September, and it is a day to honor your grandparents. In grade school we always did a craft project to take home for our grandparents, and if they wanted to, grandparents could always come up to the schools and have breakfast with their grandchildren on the Friday before Grandparent's Day.

So Happy Grandparent's Day to all the sheltie grandparents on the forums - even if it is a few days early! :biggrin2:

Here are some pictures of Smuff with my grandmother, Melba. She is the only living grandparent I have left. This year I had almost forgotten about Grandparent's Day, myself. So I told my grandmother on my vacation I was going to take her out to eat somewhere.

Thanks for sharing that Jessica, I didn't know about Grandparents Day. How blessed you are to still have a Grandmother in your life. Fluff was a cute baby, What great photos to have of your Grandmother and your fur babies.

It's really weird, because a lot of people don't seem to know about it. :uhoh: I am 27, and when I was in grade school we did Grandparent's Day projects. They even have a card section for it at Wal-Mart.

Here is a website telling a little bit about it. It's not as popular as Mother's Day or Father's Day, which is a shame!
