Hello from Charleston, SC

Katherine

Forums Enthusiast
I "fell into" shelties in December of last year, when a neighbor's 5 month old sheltie spent the holidays with my 13 year old labrador, my 10 year old mixed breed ("Capers" ---chow and sheltie mix ??), and me. The puppy rejuvenated Capers. I lost the lab to melanoma in February and immediately began a search for a sheltie breeder. "Snap" is a sable and came to me in May as an 8week old. It's been a whirlwind ever since. This little fellow is a charmer and does not seem to be afraid of anything.

I'm very thankful to have found this group of sheltie enthusiasts and grateful for all of the information regarding behaviour modification (chasing !) and what one does to pursue agility / rally (at some point).

Welcome!

I too, love this forum! I joined shortly after I brought my new baby home in June.

It really is great to on a forum that knows and understands the breed - to share tips, techniques and the funny stories!

Hello Catherine, nice to meet you and hope to hear more about your pup.

I'm new here too, love the encouragement and sound advise too!

Hello Catherine. I have 7 shelties and 2 collies right now...but I also run a sheltie rescue. It is so wonderful to be able to come here and chat just about our shelties. I find it tough on other pet forums to talk exclusively abotu my shelties...but when I found this wonderful place I felt right at home.

Welcome aboard :)

We "fell" into Shelties ourselves :biggrin2:! I was looking for a Collie and visited a Collie breeder with my family who happened to have Shelties as well. The wife and kids fell in love with the Shelties instead!

Welcome to the group!

Welcome- Can't wait to see pictures of the pups! Shelties are little "Charmers" aren't they. They just charm their way into your heart and then everybody around you. Enjoy the Forum!
