I am spitting bullets here! Toy Shelties? Bah!

Hmmm, does that mean we could start a club for Super Sized Shelties? I thought a sheltie was a sheltie, this isn't Starbucks, with Tall, Grande and Venti!!

Yes, its true, we've talked about it before....just like we've had many posts on ears and nails, etc.

I never got to discuss this before. Thanks Barb. I only joined the forum in July.

I think it's a shame that there are breeders out there who want to breed a toy sheltie. Are they just breeding small shelties with other small shelties or are they breeding in poms or papillions?

I've seen what is called a mini aussie, and they look suspiciously like they are being bred with shelties.

Mini Aussies have been officially split from real Aussies with the AKC, they are "purebred" even though they have the typical small dog traits.

Mini shelties aren't new, it's a marketing trick, like doodle mixes.
