I have a crate and a crate bed
I'm ordering a leather leash like Sandstorms
I'm making a 20 ft lead, there's nothing out there for small dogs that is lightweight enough, and I don't have a fenced in yard
Puppy needs puppy kongs and puppy toys!
    A pillow for the crate
A regular buckle collar until he/she is older, then a martingale
A special treat toy for Sandstorm

What else? Oh! I need the PUPPY!!

I really like the x-pen (for yard) that Glenn has for Willow. If I were to get another puppy that would be on the TOP of my list! Having to run after the puppy when they decide that they don't need to listen to you definitely isn't fun! Plus, if the puppy isn't used to a collar and leash they may balk at having them on at first and you don't want to confuse the potty training.

Thanks guys! We may build a pen from a deck railing we already have lying in the yard.

Definitely the X-pen. I still use one today. They are so useful and they fold up easily when not in use. Especially if you don't have a fenced in yard.

Maybe a baby gate too if you plan to keep the pup in a room instead of using a playpen.
However, I have used part of the playpen above as a gate to separate my kitchen from the family room.
Worked well until Liam got big and could just knock it over!

Start stocking up on sleep in preparation for some sleep deprived nights during potty training :)

I'm going to keep the puppy's crate in the living room also, and move it to the bedroom at night. My house is so small, puppy will be easy to watch if we close the doors to two of the rooms. The bedroom I want to keep open for Sandstorm, his crate is in there and he'll want to hide!

I like the Midwest playpen! I think I'll get it, thanks!
