    Hello!

I recently started working at a boarding clinic, and after 90 days I get a 20% discount...They sell Science Diet and iVet dog food. I currently feed Blue, but I thought 20% would be worth taking a look at.

Anyone recommend it? Here is the ingredients list:

Chicken Meal, Brewers Rice, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Oatmeal, Canola Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Beet Pulp (sugar removed), Flaxseed (source of natural omega-3 fatty acids), Fish Meal (source of natural DHA), Dried Brewers Yeast, Dried Egg Product, Natural Flavor, Lecithin, Yucca Schidigera, Minerals (Potassium Chloride, Dicalcium Phosphate, Salt, Zinc Sulfate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Sulfate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Calcium Iodate, Cobalt Carbonate, Sodium Selenite), Beta-Carotene, Vitamins (Choline Chloride, Vitamin E Supplement, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (a source of Vitamin C), Niacin, Vitamin A Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (a source of Vitamin K activity), Folic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement), Rosemary Extract

    Nutrient Content (%)
    Crude Protein (Min.) 29.0
    Crude Fat (Min.) 19.0
    Crude Fiber (Max.) 4.0
    Moisture (Max.) 10.0
    Calcium (Min.) 1.2
    Phosphorus (Min.) 0.9
    Vitamin E (Min.) 400 IU/kg

    Pulled from the iVet website...

I wouldn't feed it.. especially not if you're feeding Blue. Blue Buffalo is definitely a higher quality food than iVet.

It's better than SD, but still not good enough to feed.

In my opinion, too many grains, "natural flavors" are always sketchy, and Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex has been shown to cause serious health problems in lab tests.

That's what I thought, especially after browsing the website. I love Blue, and my dogs do great on it. I guess if it's not broke don't fix it, right?

Thanks guys. I appreciated the advice.
