Jewel needs to be rehomed

Hi,

I'm trying this and we will see what happens.

We have to rehome our dear Sheltie Jewel because she bit our baby. The bite was superficial but it was evident that the baby stresses her out. She needs a calmer environment. She needs to be the only dog. She is a senior dog that likely needs dental work.

We are in Ottawa, ON, Canada.

I believe there are Canadian Sheltie rescue groups and I would certainly check into that; they would be the ones I would trust to re-home her. Don't just give her to some person off Craigslist or something.

For sure! We want the best for her! We are still undecided however. Our life circumstances changed and we saw it coming...

There’s also the Southern Ontario Sheltie Rescue…a highly respected rescue. The Sheltie group I’m part of here in Winnipeg contributes to this rescue. I’d definitely consider them before using ANY other method. They would find the best home possible.
