We're having a heatwave here. We get Willow out early but it is still humid and hot. Lots of ice-cold water and going slow are the order of the day. Still, the park trails are lovely and have broken out in a sea of little gold wildflowers.

    Fields of gold.

Try to stick to the shade.

Come on dad, it's cool under the trees.

Hot hot hot and humid here too...went for a short walk at 8 am this morning and it was already too hot! Good idea Willow staying in the shade!

Willow you are such a god girl
have control of your mother so she doesn't run away
and your dad comes into the shade

Mom and I go down to the beach everyday,
here I have a job where I just have to control
who has been there since yesterday :wink2:

When we go back along the beach takes a ½ hour,
then I go right behind my mom - so I'm "herding" her home,
though she thinks it is so annoying

Willow sounds like me- walk in the sunshine during the winter and find every little scrap of shade to walk in during the summer:winkgrin:

Also off the pavement. Y’all aren’t used to heat but but be careful she doesn’t burn her pads

Yes, she's free to take to the grass to walk any time but, so far, the pavement hasn't got as hot as I thought it would.

Hard to explain if you haven't been here but the Latitude change really does make the sun stronger.
