Our little Logan fought the good fight but lost his battle yesterday.

He collapsed in the morning with what we know now to be a blood clot in his rear legs which caused him to become paralyzed. Although the doctor tried to save him it was just too much for his little body to overcome. He was dealing with thyroid disease, pancreatitis and gallbladder disease and kidney failure and also a heart murmur. His little body was just giving out.

He will be so missed and a there is a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.
It gives me comfort knowing he reunited with Mr. Chance, Laddie, and little Jasmine.

This is the last picture I took of him the other day that I will cherish forever...
Goodbye my sweet Logan I will miss you... You will never be forgotten...

I lost a treasured friend today
The little dog who used to lay
His gentle head upon my knee
And shared his silent thoughts with me.

A voice far greater than my own
Has called him to his golden throne.

Although my eyes are filled with tears
I thank him for the happy years
He let him spend down here with me
And for his love and loyalty.

When it is time for me to go
And join him there, this much I know
I shall not fear the transient dark
For he will greet me with a bark.

Gloria, my heart is breaking for you.

Dear St. Francis, look with love and kindness on sweet Logan as he runs to the Bridge and into your arms. He fought such a valiant battle, and now he has left his earthly body, but his soul soars. Please send comfort to Gloria, who loved him with all her heart. And remind Logan that to him, it will seem but the twinkling of an eye until they are reunited once more.
In His name we ask, Amen

Gloria I'm so sorry to read this news this morning. You and Logan fought so hard. He's now comfortable and at rest. The love you felt for him was palpable in your posts about him. Sending you love and comfort. Run free sweet Logan.

Gloria I am so sorry to hear of Logan's passing, you tried so so hard to make his stay a little longer in this world...you did everything you could and then some! The hardest thing we ever have to do is say goodbye to our cherished pet, know that he is in heaven now free of pain and disease.:hugs

I have tears rolling down my face. I am so sorry. You both fought so hard for so long. There's a very bright new star up in Heaven now.

Crying here too... thought of you both all day yesterday. It is gut-wrenching to lose them, especially when you thought he was rallying. Gloria, don't second guess anything - you absolutely did the best you could, and you're right, his whole body just was giving out. But he really is free now, I believe it with all my heart, and you will meet again one day.
