My recipe is famous!

Nice!! :biggrin2:

I had to watch the video on "mute" because the boys are watching the hockey game :rolleyes2: .... What is puppy crack? A high value treat or a meal?

those are treats but they could be used as food. I try not to feed my dogs as just feed so when I train I train with various meats.
Anyway it is similar to meatballs recipe mix of ground meat, eggs, quick cooking oatmeal, little garlic. I wrap it in wax paper to create log shape and microwave 4 minutes wrapped and 4 minutes unwrapped for 8 thin rolls.
People at my training facility call it puppy crack because their dogs will mob me for treats:biggrin2:

Thanks for sharing! We start beginner agility in a few weeks so I'm always looking for food rewards that my dogs will do anything for.

Hey SheltieChe, I want to try this, but I'm having trouble watching the video (my computer is being a pain in the butt lately) - any chance you would write down the exact amount/directions? Or if it's already on the site, could you give me the link? I looked through the recipes section, but didn't find it.

Thanks!

I am not good with exact amounts, never been:lol:
anyway- about 2 lbs of ground meat, I use mixes most often like turkey, beef and pork but you can do with whatever you have on sale. Pork might be ground from fattier piece so it will be more oily and soft, beef could be too lean and dry up too much- but it is my opinion.
2 lbs ground meat, 1/2 cup or good handful of quick cooking rolled oats, you know those one in large container that cook in 1 minute, 1-2 eggs, I add some garlic, like small piece. I use food processor to blend oats into more less fine powder, add garlic and blend few seconds more, then add meat and eggs, blend it all for few minutes. I use microwave and wax paper to cook them.
I make log rolls wrapped in wax paper to hold shape and cook 4 minutes for 4 rolls or until meat cooked. Often if I want drier pieces I additionally microwave another 2-3 minutes but unwrapped to remove more moisture. This is kind of things you need to experiment and see what your settings are what cut of meat you got and what moisture you want your treats to be.
I freeze them in bags.

Pancreatitus food

My poormguy jas jad his food changed five times on seven weeks! He jas pancreatitus and thuroid problems and now the holistic nutritionist suggest fresh fish, nature balance fish and sweet potato. I started combining his food with the new stuff and i don't think he likes it and i can't blame him because it doesn't smell so good! But i need very low fat necause of his pancreas.
