Last Tuesday, I said goodbye to my boy Sam. Born 13 years ago on Valentine's Day, what a love he was. Curious, he would greet guests at the door when younger. Followed repair men around, always nosing into everyone's stuff. He loved our dogs, loved our kids, loved to 'spoon'. He loved fruit - ate an edible arrangement sent to our house for hubby's Christmas party years ago, we served it, even with some munchies taken from it. We named him Sam Ting, as he was the sam ting as the little kitten we brought home named Sam who was given to us WAY before he was ready to leave his momma and he passed in my hands one night. So Sam, with my husbands humor was the Sam Ting as the one before... :)

Sam was once a beautiful, regal boy of 18 lbs, then he started to vomit and we joked we need another so we could call them Wallace and Vomit - for those of you with kids from the time of clay creatures Wallace and Gromit. For the last 7 years we have dealt with his food issues. He craved kibble but couldn't stomach it. He was on steroids these last 4 - 5 years. He just lost his life; slept all day, wouldn't walk around the house, acted like it pained his to walk. We had the vet here 4 times in the last 3 years to put him down. He passed in my arms last Tuesday.

I miss my boy, but actually took a picture of him before I buried him since he looked SOOOO peaceful and at rest finally in his little furry sack. Rest my sweet little valentino, Sam....

Sam was very regal. He sounds like a total character. My deepest sympathy on the loss of such a wonderful family member. He lived a good long life.

Sam was absolutely breathtaking! The world is definitely less beautiful without such a cat.
