IMG_6435.JPG I've been wanting to try to make Charlie Bears and I tried it out today and this was my result. I used my Pyramid Pan and I ended up making approximately 6 cups and each one is roughly .6 calories each.
    Ingredients are:
    1 pound chicken livers, puréed
    1 cup cornstarch
    1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    2 tsp baking soda

Baked for 20 minutes at 350 degrees and then they popped right out. I then put them back in oven for 5-10 minutes to finish drying out. Very dry and crunchy. Cost me maybe $5 to make.
The dogs absolutely love them! IMG_6433.JPG

    Only a pound?lol
Too bad you live so far away...:biggrin2:

I also did some peanut butter granola treats for them (drying on dehydrator) and some veggie cookies (very little oatmeal)... probably 4 cups of veggies to 1/2 cup oatmeal. Piper needs to lose weight but likes his cookies!

Forgot to mention, I also did some granola for them (peanut butter (lots lol) oatmeal and coconut oil) but after 10 hours in the dehydrator this stuff still isn't crunchy. But boy do they like it! Stuff has almost 2 cups if peanut butter in it lol.
Finnie didn't want to go to bed last night, he wanted to be across the hall where dehydrator was running (I keep the door shut, the noise keeps me ). Needless to say they were VERY happy when I woke up this morning! I'm going to try a low oven for a bit today, that should do it.

    it is a shame:yes:
well, I might need to get your recipes and buy the pans and convert recipes for oven as I don't at the moment have a dehydrator.......

OK impressed as I was by your gardening efforts, I'm really amazed at your dog treat baking! So industrious. I bet the dogs just love seeing you in the kitchen!
