Hi all!

I'm new here, so thought I would introduce myself.

I'm a graduate student from Saskatchewan, Canada. Currently finishing up my Master's in animal science, molecular genetics.

Enough of the boring stuff ... now for the dogs!

I have had Shelties since 1994. I currently have two Shelties, Gio and Romeo.

Gio CGN FM HIC RNMCL RACL SJATD is a 6 year old oversized sable Sheltie. He competed in NAFA flyball for a couple of years before his back-yard-bred poor health caught up with him and he had to retire. He currently competes in CARO Rally-O and is a certified therapy dog with St. John Ambulance. At the end of this month he will be competing in his first CKC Rally-O and CKC obedience trials. He also enjoys tracking and we hope to compete in that as well at some point in the future. All that in addition to coping with epilepsy.

Romeo CD FDX HIC RNMCL RACL is a 2 year old tricolored Sheltie. He competes in NAFA flyball, CARO Rally-O and CKC obedience. At the end of this month he will be competing in his first CKC Rally-O trial. He is also in agility training with hopes of competing next year.

Can't wait to meet some new Sheltie friends!!

Welcome to the forum, you'll find lots of nice people and helpful hints :)

Your fur kids are really cute! :smile2:

I'm training to compete in agility myself. My pup Sadie is a genius and being very patient with me

I'm so glad your part of this group. I know you will really enjoy it. I have enjoyed reading your threads and posts in Dogster. I always keep it in the back of my mind how busy you are with your two shelties so I keep walking, training and grooming CeCe just a little more. I'm sure she'll find a job soon!!:wink2: Welcome aboard! The people and advise here are wonderful!

Great Dogster Pages

Welcome to the Sheltie Shenanigans!! You'll fit right in. My girls Layla, Annie Laurie and Bits are all Therapy Dogs, too!

welcome to the group- I liked your dogster pages too. didn't know about the guestbooks before seeing yours. we don't spend as much time on dogster since we spend lots more time here.

I spend way more time on Dogster than anyone should! But I'm a moderator on there so I guess I have an excuse, right? :o

Thanks everyone for the welcomes! I adore Shelties and Sheltie people are a special bunch, so it's great to have found a somewhat active Sheltie forum for us all to gather!

we're in a bunch of sheltie groups on dogster and some mixed breed groups for the Happy Boy but there aren't conversations and good advice like there are here. :wink2:
