New toy for Keiran

Why? Because Keiran likes to tug and I like the softer tugs for playing with him. The ball at the end will also allow me to have some weight so we can also play fetch along with tug. Since there's also a holee roller in the middle, I'll still have a toy if/when all the fleece ends up coming off of it.

Then there's also the my puppy is spoiled rotten factor.

Well I guess I was confused by the whole, knotting fleece around a holee roller ball. I totally get the spoiled rotten factor! Missy has sooo many toys!

I can also see the appeal if you have a softer mouthed dog but want something with some bulk that you can throw.

That makes sense.

Bailey has a toy like this one that I purchased at a local show. It's a small Hollee Roller with a fleece tug at the end. She loves to tug and play fetch, so this toy combines both. She also likes to "shake to death" the toys that she fetches before she releases it to to me to throw, so this is perfect for her. It has a little bounce and weight to fetch, she can tug it and "shake it to death". Definitely one of her favorite toys.

She was at the agility trial last weekend- I stopped and told her someone I knew had one for their sheltie and had posted about it so she's now famous

I didn't know you were in town this past weekend. Hope you had a good time! I may be back in AKC next year with Keiran. It's a matter of 'is he ready' and I think we are just about there; just polishing up a few weave and teeter items. CPE is a great place for a green dog to get ring experience since the courses are easier and the atmosphere is lighter.

Jan's been part of the local agility community longer than I have. I'll see her this weekend at a CPE show and pick up Keiran's toy. I'll let you know if she says anything to me about your comments.
