Has anyone tried the MixMax Puzzle by Nina Ottosson? I am trying to find a puzzle that will challenge my Sheltie's brain for more than 3 minutes. Mix Max puzzles may be the answer but they aren't inexpensive and I am sure it would take more than two connected puzzles to keep a Sheltie repeatedly occupied. Experiences anyone?

I haven't tried the Min Max puzzle yet but I want one. My dogs can solve many puzzles quickly. I want this because, with multiple pieces, I can adjust the difficulty of the game.

I've found that Spirit either solves her puzzles very quickly, or she gets frustrated and creates her own solutions (including chewing on the pieces until she triggers whatever is holding the treat).

I never gave Minnie a possibility, I would think she would choose this option too.

Maybe I should try to buy one (she has long said that I owe her a birthday present)

I try to correct them when they chew on the pieces and I also pick them up as soon as they have them out. (Keiran especially will chew on removed pieces if they aren't taken away quickly.) Some pieces are meant to be removed by lifting with the mouth so I don't want to discourage mouthing the pieces, just excessive chewing on them.

Yes, she is no longer allowed to work on her puzzles unless I'm there to supervise.
