    Tonight Colonel Underpants set off on his final deployment to take the Bridge. He fought gallantly, never losing his joi de vive. His passage was peaceful at the gentle hands of our beloved Dr. Robbins. Beckon lay nestled between the paws of his sister Layla, surrounded by his Daddy and his two Mommies as he slipped across to greet Bitsy Boodle, Annie Laurie, his mother Niya and his father Musashi.

    He leaves behind beautiful memories and a family who is grateful to have had the privilege to love him. Goodbye, my baby boy, until we meet again.

    Oh Chris, simply heartbreaking. I had sincerely hoped he was getting better again. I know he'd been sick but I can't believe he's gone, the tears are flowing.

    Beckon was a legend of Sheltie Forums, he was keeping us all in line for so long I can't imagine not hearing a few quips from him each day. I just loved to hear about your goofy boy, tough as old boots but with a heart of gold.

    Beckon's army are slowing joining him across the bridge so I guess his job is now to keep the rest of the SF illuminati in line while they wait for us.

    Vale sweet Colonel, you were loved and will be missed.

    A final salute and Taps for the great Colonel. Chris I am crying as I type. You and Beckon kept us all in stitches for so long as Colonel Underpants. You don't need me to tell you that you gave him the best possible life, and he knew he was cherished. Sending you many hugs.

    Oh Chris, I am so very sorry to hear of Beckon’s passing. I like so many others enjoyed reading what Colonel Underpants had to say. He will truly be missed!
