Our Gentle Dakota...yesterday we had to say good-bye to our sweet boy. He was such a special soul.

    Thank-you, Caro. Dakota was beautiful in so many ways. He was a rescue who we adopted along with his "brother" (our little Pommie boy, Dante). They had been together since they were just 8 weeks old and when they came into rescue their Mom was promised they would stay together. Dakota was the most gentle soul, he loved everyone and was such a joy. His passing is heartbreaking and sadly His little "brother" Dante has cancer and is already 4 months past the prognosis he was given...so we know that all too soon he will leave us too. He is the quietest and sweetest Pommie I have ever known and loves life so much just as Dakota did. It is a sad time here.

    Trina I am so sorry for your loss, what a beautiful boy he was. Saying goodbye is always so very hard....

    Trini, you have had more loss than is bearable sometimes. I remember when you first got Dante and Dakota. What a beautiful boy he was, physically and in spirit. You have taken in so many rescues and hospice cases and I know each one must shatter you when they go. I'm really, really sorry about Dakota passing and that Dante is ill as well. Please know how you enriched their lives beyond measure and I believe they wait for us patiently at the Bridge. Sending you healing wishes. :hugs

    No matter how much you understand that their time is limited, it's just as hard when they leave us. I hope you can take comfort in the wonderful years that you gave Dakota, Dante, and all your precious pups, Trini. You make up in love what they've lost in years before they came to you. Sending you hugs and comfort.

    Trini, I am so very sorry that your sweet and dear Dakota passed to Rainbow Bridge. We all know the loving comfort you provide to your rescues and Dakota was so blessed to have landed in your care. No one, and I mean, no one could provide the dedication to health and love that you provided. My heart just goes out to you. You have the largest heart of anyone I know! May Dakota RIP. That sweetness just radiates from his picture. Virtual hugs to you and prayers to support you in your loss.

    I'm so sorry for your loss Trini, Dakota is such a beautiful boy! Thank you for giving this boy a second chance and giving him theeee best possible life he could have wished for! We'll all be keeping you in our thoughts, take care :hugs
