Just 11 days after we lost Sketch our little Simba joined his best friend. This has been a nightmare last 7 weeks with the passing of all our 3 senior Shelties, Dakota, Sketch and Simba. Our home feels so sadly empty...it doesn't feel like it is our home.

Simba was a gentle, funny little lad and always Sketchie's "cheerleader". Sketch loved to play ball and frisbee and Simba had no interest in playing fetch but would run along beside Sketch and bark to cheer him on. They are buried side by side and Sketch has his ball and frisbee buried with him so they can now play together forever.

To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. It is hard to accept that so much life and joy is now stilled. Simba loved to climb up and play king of the wood pile and he was, and will always be, a precious king in our hearts.

I can't believe what you've had to go through Trini, I'm so very sorry, this is heartbreaking.
What a beautiful boy and that's such a sweet story about Simba and Sketchie. I'm sure they'll all be playing together now and watching over you.
I know how empty a home can feel when I've just lost one, but to lose 3 is so sad. I wish I could do more to help but we'll be sending all the love and energy we can.

Please take care of yourself and once again you have my deepest sympathies :hugs

Trini what a truly awful and soul-wrenching time this has been for your family. I can well understand how quiet and empty your home must feel. I am beyond sorry to hear that you've had yet another loss. Simba looks like a dear sweet soul and the thought of him buried next to his friend just brought me to tears. It's so hard to focus on the good memories when you've been hit with so much loss but I truly hope in time the knowledge that you gave these wonderful dogs the best life they could have will comfort you. You've been such a rock of comfort and wisdom for those of us here that struggled with illness and loss of our Shelties and I wish I could give you a big hug and a shoulder to cry on. I keep you in my heart. :hugs

Dear St. Francis, Within just a few weeks, Dakota, Sketchie and Simba all came to your sunlit fields. Perhaps they were so close that the veil parted so swiftly in succession for them. It's hard to understand, but we pray you will watch over them and make sure their toys are readily available. Bring comfort to Trini and her family as the try to encompass this loss. Help them to pass through their grief and come to that gentle place where memories bring smiles without pain.
In His name we ask, Amen

There are no words that will make the loss easier or the pain better, Trini. You have been through far too much this year. I hope eventually the warm and happy memories of Simba and Sketch together will bring you peace and comfort. Sending you love and hugs.
