They've already started here, had a loud explosion last night just out of the blue, scared the heck out of me, dogs were barking like crazy but didn't seem freaked out. We have such high fire danger here on top of the other risks of fireworks.... I love the professionally run displays (ours are at the harbor over the ocean) but the other stuff sucks.
Spitfire will be attacking and going nuts
I am dreading it. We have people doing fireworks at the beach down the road from us, the dogs hate it and we have to call the police every time. It's a very residential area, people making the noise and leaving the spent fireworks for others to clean up don't care.
Ours will be tomorrow (not mine personally lol but it’s Canada Day) and I hate it. Like Sharon said the sponsored displays are well run, it’s all the neighborhood idiots that make me angry…that and the stores that sell them. People assume since the store sells them they must be legal to set off.
My dogs, ESPECIALLY Finnie will be barking and shaking! I’ll be sure to have them in my bedroom with the portable AC running (it’s loud) and the tv on high volume!
They are illegal in Massachusetts so when we call the police, they come. Sometimes....Happy Canada day! I'm still Canadian in a way, lol. From birth to 3 years old.
Absolutely you are…once a Canadian always a Canadian eh?
I am with you, Sharon! The fireworks are beautiful over the Detroit river! That is a safe use of something so dangerous… especially in your area! I am surprised California does not ban them in areas where wildfires can be possible!
I do the same, Lisa! I run the TV, A/C, and room fans on high just to make it loud enough to drown out the sound!
Happy Canada day!
I wish the were illegal in Michigan!
