Yes, indeed... Ann’s comment was just what I would have done had I been married!
When it's confirmed the dogs are pregnant I will tell husband! I will plead my case and he will say "glad we talked about it" and I will get what I want, as always! Lol! It would be different if the breeders were local, I'd just go get the puppy and bring it home.
Happy wife, happy life!
Well, yes. I think I'm fair, he wants one too. Sometimes I wonder why we want one, lots of work!! But so fun. I wish we could retire now though.
I know what you mean! Puppies are so much more work than any of my rescues! That said, I am blessed to have semi-retired and able to work from home. Certainly a positive training a puppy!
Can you pick it up a bit older? Next time I want to wait until a pup is closer to 10wks to bring it home.
I think I could ask to pick puppy up at 10 weeks old. I could bring it to work and keep it in my car in a crate check on puppy every 2 hours or so. Where I live in coastal Massachusetts it's not too warm that time of year. It does depend on the weather.
I think that's your best bet. We got Asta at 10 weeks and it was fine.
I kept Gavin penned in my small-ish kitchen until he was house trustworthy (like 4-6 months old).
with a crate and a puppy potty.
He did great He did have a kitty playmate though....
Never, Ever, Ever, would I leave my pet in a car! No matter what time of year.
I would never forgive myself if something happened...
I am so paranoid that my pet could be stolen.
