Please everyone say a prayer for my friend Abbey. Her dog Uno went missing yesterday from the dog sitter's.
He is a well-trained agility dog, and they thought he would come right home but he is running scared.
Info from my friend below:
"UNO is lost. He bolted out the front door of the dog sitter's place mid-afternoon today (10/28). We have had numerous sightings of him and he seems to be staying in one general area. He is in the Maxtown /Sunbury Rd intersection area. It appears that he has crossed Sunbury Road back and forth at least a couple of times. The most recent sightings were in the park and bike paths of the subdivision off of Spring Hill Rd just north of Maxtown road - the subdivision closest to Sunbury road. He has been running panicked for at least a couple hours this afternoon. We are hoping he has bedded down for the night and will be out at daybreak to try to find him. Flyers are being posted and distributed tonight. One of the folks saw him cross the road a couple times and said he is being car-smart, so hopefully he will be fine in that regard. We are holding up and focusing on getting him back for now, with a few extremely upset moments here and there.
He IS microchipped and I will call the agency tomorrow and verify they have him on record. He is wearing a collar but due to a car switch not the one with his ID tags on it - that collar is in the car that is undergoing repairs. Some of the local police agencies have been notified. Tomorrow we will make sure all the local shelters, etc., have been notified. Someone has very kindly offered to call the local vets."
I have to go to work this morning but my husband is going to go help.
