I really didn't feel like going for a morning walk today. It's cold and the pathways and streets are either treacherous underfoot or salty, crunchy messy pools of snowmelt. Still, who can refuse that brown-eyed stare? Apparently, not me.

So it was on with the harness, then the boots with Little Miss standing patiently while I strapped them on, followed by her coat. Whew, throws me right back to my boys as toddlers and trying to get them into their snowsuits.

Then it was my turn, while Willow sat by the door, to get on coat, hat, scarf, and gloves. Finally we were out and off. You know, it was a glorious morning. The sunshine was pouring down and when we went off the paved paths onto the trails we enjoyed clean white snow, soft and beautiful.

Willow is great in her little boots, she trots along without a care. Here are some shots shots of this morning's outing and activities.

I used the walk time to set some bread dough on the rise so the walk was productive as well as pretty.

Nothing like a walk with Willow to get you into the sunshine.

That first photo is so artful! Sounds like you were glad you made the effort to get out. And the bread looks amazing!

Beautiful! And oh my, Willow's trim backside is putting Brodie to shame - I think my boy needs a diet! :) She looks SO happy to be back in her routine and what a beautiful place you have to enjoy your time together!

How beautiful! Willow is just as carefree as she can be!
Now, for a bowl of hot soup with that bread!

Does she like baguettes? My dogs go NUTS for them... you think it was steak as much as they beg for it!

That's what I love about our shelties, they get us outside walking and enjoying the world when we originally thought we didn't want to go. River has been good for my health and frame of mind.

I don't think we've ever found a food that Willow doesn't like but she hasn't had bread.

Since I started keeping track of my weight on April 1st Willow has helped me walk off 48 and a half pounds. She's my young, attractive personal trainer. :)
