Do you ever feel you could use the help of Sherlock Holmes when trying to decipher what your Sheltie wants? This morning Willow started with the high pitched bark that she normally employs to get let outside. She barks once, loud and shrill, and then waits for me to take her outside. This morning she did it, I went out with her and she did nothing. So, back inside, more bark-wait-bark with Willow staring me down from where she sits in front of me. We tried playing, nope, she didn't want to fetch or play tug. Tried a walk, nope, although she loved her walk, she started up again when we got back.

By this time I was getting pretty tired of it so I told her to settle down and much to my surprise did. So, now I have no logical idea what was bugging her but perhaps she can see ghosts? After all, as Sherlock said, "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."

The little monster is sleeping by my feet, perfectly contentedly. :)

Dr. John Dolittle: How come I can hear you talking?
Lucky: I dunno. Maybe you're just weird or something.
Dr. John Dolittle: Shut up. You're a dog. DOGS CANNOT TALK.
Lucky: What the hell do you think barking is, an involuntary spasm?

Ya gotta wonder sometimes! She obviously had something on her mind and couldn't believe you weren't able to divine what it was. Nice tries, though!

Things like that drive me batty. I have been known to stand there and almost yell I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT! Sometimes after trying everything possible I wonder if he is just messin with me. Think I would prefer ghosts to head games...
