Shooter is HOME!

After an exhausting search of a lot of densely forested areas, sightings miles from his family, Shooter came home on his own today. They found him this morning in his back yard. What a Father's Day gift for his owner! The vet is on his way over to check him out, he has an injury that is probably from the initial dog attack, but seems okay. For 18 days this little 17 pound timid little male fended for himself, managed to cross a highway that is dubbed the "killer highway" but the gentle hand of God managed to guide him home. I know his owners would thank everyone for all their prayers for Shooter.
 
Great news and another happy ending. It's always amazes me how tough and resourceful these little dogs can be. I'm sure Shooter is as happy to be home as his owners are to have him back. I hope his injury is not too serious and he has a quick and uneventful recovery.

I am so happy for Shooter and his family. Tears of joy!:hugs
 
I don't know the dog or the owners but I can't stop the tingling feeling you get before crying. The whole time he was gone I kept seeing our Tinsel in that predicament. My daughter was out at dawn this morning searching again and we were over again yesterday with plans of going this afternoon. I believe that it was all the prayers that were being sent up that helped Shooter find his way back. You guys are great. Lets hope our collective prayers will help little Party get back to her home safely.
