Tully still isn't eating, she's down to 5.8kg (should be 7kg). Took her to the vet and her heart rate is down to 60bpm, her blood pressure is down and she's hypoglycemic. She's now at the vet on a drip.

This little girl keeps breaking my heart.

    Surgery is cancelled.

Update - she's in kidney failure. Hoping that rehydration will help her.

Awww Caro, I’m so sorry. I’m thinking it’s probably a good idea that surgery has been canceled...poor Tully must be so weak.

IMS called and said to run a test for Addisons - she might have been on steroids too long to cope without them anymore. He said stress or an infection could trigger it and the symptoms sound more like Addisons than kidney. That would make sense as she started to decline after seeing the Ortho vet on Monday, which I imagine was very stressful for her as she knows these vets. Addisons can be managed so fingers crossed it is this and not the kidneys. If it;s the kidneys then the surgeon said it it will be touch and go if she survives. That said, apparently her BUN has been high for the last 2 years - I really need to keep a copy of her test results with me.

Crapola, that poor dog is just slammed with one thing after another. You both have all my sympathy, and I hope her condition can be managed Caro.
