WINTER Woofstock - Toronto 2011

Hi everyone, I just wanted to give the heads up to anyone interested that Nov 19-20 is the second year of Winter Woofstock held in Toronto, Ontario. It's an indoors ticketed event of the summer hit, where more information can be found here http://www.winterwoofstock.com/location.htm. Last year (I didn't get to go) I heard it was kind of cramped, because it was it's first indoor event, miscalculated outcome and space I guess. Also it got a bit unsanitary because it was carpet, etc when dogs went number 1 and number 2 indoors :rolleyes2:

BUT this year it's held in a new hall, double the size, tiles, lots more volunteers apparently (a whole poop squad LOL), etc. I will be there Saturday Nov 19 almost all day. Same with Jennie and Heather, if anyone remembers their photos with Precious on her 1 year birthday that I posted.

I know there are a few others out there in the area or that occasionally go to the summer woofstock one. I wanted to share the event to see if anyone was going to the winter one. It's our first year going but heck I love the loving holiday spirits and really, any kind of dog event that I can take Precious out to have fun, just had to buy the tickets and decide to go this year!

For those that are not able to go but loved the photos from the summer, I'll definitely try to take lots of pictures and post them on SN to share afterwards :) Look forward to it, because I really am :D

Again, let me know if you're planning on going, would love to see more faces! anaruadh, OntarioSheltie, Paeoniaa, etc!
 
I hadn't planned on going because I didn't want to go alone. But it hadn't occurred to me to try and meet anyone there. It would be nice to meet you and Jenny's Mom.

I can't go Saturday though, its my nephew's 1st birthday. I might be able to make it Sunday though, if you're able to go Sunday instead.

Ahh, I wish you would have told us sooner, don't think of it as going alone :( Heather and I would have totally planned around that.... we were open both days to decide on only one day to go... we agreed on Saturday for the longest time, just because, because no one had a preference or issue. Unfortunately I personally already took work off for only Saturday so I won't be able to move it at all most likely..... Give me until Monday night, when it's a weekday and I'll tell you if anything was able to be moved around by then. I'll try to ask everyone else what their availability is like, if we can move it at all to Sunday last minute. We'd love to see you.
 
I'm not planning on going this year but if you think you might hit the off-leash park that is across the street in the morning (burn off some energy before taking the dogs indoors? :wink2:), let me know! I'll pop by :yes:

:(:(:( We're not able to change the date without things falling apart... I'm so sorry Melissa! Maybe you'll still decide to head over for the Sunday if you wanted somewhere fun to go with the dogs. If not, I'll definitely make sure to ask you in June for the summer one! Sorry :no:

Thanks anyway but I won't be going then. I'm not going to drive almost two hours to be there by myself. :(

I guess I'll see you guys in the summer.

:(:( I'm so sorry, I should've posted the thread earlier in planning but since I knew there weren't many in Ontario anyways I didn't think there'd be big discussion /a reason to post a month in advance. Definitely learned my lesson and definitely will ask you in the summer now that I know you're willing to come down to the dog events here! <3 have a great weekend still Melissa! Precious and I send hugs to Ginny Toby and Sadie! I'll definitely share photos!
