Miss Flora came into rescue in early March. She was taken from a puppy mill that was closed down for inhumane conditions in Alabama. She had never had any human contact and didn't want to be touched. She was never aggressive, she just shut down and colapsed at your feet if you touched her body.
After having her in rescue we taught her that she must allow us to touch her before she could have what she wanted whether it was food, going outside or just having some floor time with the other dogs. She loves the companionship of other dogs but didn't want anything to do with humans.

She has been adopted by a very quiet spoken and patient lady with two elderly shelties and is getting along with everyone nicely. Her transition was very easy as this lady has the patience of JOB!! So good bye Miss Flora be happy honey, you deserve your own person to love and care for you... This foster mom is going to miss you!

I'm so happy for Miss Flora. This sounds like the perfect home for her -- a very patient human and two older dogs for her to look after. Be happy, Flora girl!
