It's valentine's day, and of course the loves of our lives are our puppies.

So post the love song that best sums up your Shelties.

These are the ones for my fur-kin

Tully - "You are so beautiful" Joe Cocker (although replace 'to me' with 'Tully).
Deska - "My destiny" Lionel Richie (for my heart dog, whoops, crying again).

Oh that is a challenge, I'll have to think about it. I will say, that after I found out Brooke was ill, a revised version of "Brandy" by Looking Glass popped into my head. It's a song I've always loved, a bit bittersweet. Brooke was brought to us in July, 5 years ago.

She came, on a summer's day
As a gift, from far away
We made it clear, she had to stay
Our house was now her home.

    Brookie, you're a fine girl,
What a good dog you have been
Yeah your eyes they have that wonderful glow
And the love between us will ever flow

I sing "Layla Sable" to the tune of "Santa Baby."

Good question Caro...you had me thinking...
For Piper I'm sure there are many songs but one that sticks with me most is Chris De burgh All the love I have inside me. Just change the lyric for 'she' to 'he'. It just really captures for me how much I love this boy!

Finnie...now that one I'll really have to think about lol.

Well, it just has to be Donnie's song.

    For Koko it's
You are the sunshine of my life
That's why I'll always be around
You are the apple of my eye
Forever you'll stay in my heart
You must have known that I was lonely
Because you came to my rescue
And I know that this must be heaven
How could so much love be inside of you?

And we go a whole different direction for Fillion, (which nothing rhymes with LOL) so its (who can name this tune??)
Filly! (da da da da da da) Ahhhhh puppy puppy!
You are my silly boy--and you got me loving you!

When we had Lassie, our ancient Collie, I would sing "My Lassie Lies Over the Ocean" to her every night. When she could no longer stay with us, I sang her over the Rainbow Bridge. It was the hardest, yet most important thing I ever did for her.
