New oral flea and tick preventative

    Our merial rep came by the office yesterday and they have come out with a new flea and tick preventative. It's called Nexgard. It will be the same kind of chewable that heartgard is. He is giving all of the employees 12 free months to try it on out own dogs.

    I'm kinda skeptical to use it. I don't really have a flea or tick problem either.

    I would be cautious using anything until it's been tested a loooong time. You see new drugs on the market all the time, and then a year or two later hear the horror stories of the bad reactions that they discover are linked to that medicine. Scary stuff! :cry:

    I probably won't use it right off.

    We always have people upset bc they want an oral flea AND TICK preventative. So I hope this works.
    It should be available to the public in January.
