Rocket was always right beside me.

Cassie loves to play Chase the Puppy. In fact, when I took her out last night, she went potty. Then we played Chase the Puppy until I was about to keel over dead. I finally gave up and flopped onto the patio, fanny first. As I was sitting there, here came Cassie. I scooped her up and questioned everything I know about life. LOL! Of course, she's only 8 weeks old and hasn't been outside very often yet. But now, we're going out a lot more often.

Destin was like that.... he's still the one with the worst recall of my pack:((
I recommend leash walking for potty time...........

Welcome to the Weight Loss Puppy Program, aka Chase the Puppy!:lol::lol: After more puppies than I can count and hours of chasing, I discovered that if I put an xpen in the yard (even in the fenced dog yard) it became MUCH easier to catch the little darling when it's time to go in. I usually do two xpens clipped together to give them a bit more room, but it's so much simpler to corral them in that small space! Also a real break for nasty days when you don't want to be out there for long in bad weather!

We didn't prepare for this. We didn't decide to keep her until last night. So, we probably will leash her for a bit. She isn't usually bad, but last night, she was enjoying the chase. And the grown up dogs were NOT herding her to me, like they've been doing. She came straight to me once I sat down.

I have to say, Ann, that was the best advice you ever gave me! It really helped to keep little Liam under reaching distance for potty breaks!

I agree Sheep...saw a guy chasing his dog, dog was loving it:ROFLMAO:! I thought run away lol!
Not sure though if it'd work with an 8 week old puppy but wouldn't hurt to try.

Yes, after 3 GSD - I was very surprised by Minnie's completely different behavior :confused2:
One of the things she quickly taught me was to "catch" was a fun Sheltie play :gaah

Like my GSDĀ“s - Minnie quickly got a 99.99% safe recall and she still has it
    - she is so cute / beautiful when she comes running against me with full speed

I *think* I have it figured out. She comes straight to me if I just sit down.
