    Pico Pic of the day!

a few weeks ago he found a fish head! He was throwing it around like one of his toys. That one would have been a great picture but I was running to get that damn thing out of Pico's mouth as soon as I saw it!

    Puppy behavior ?

Pico LOVES picking up bark on his hikes. He is really good about dropping when I ask. Actually, all I have to do is say "do you think you are supposed to have that?' and he drops it. It sounds more civilized then a stiff command, and it works really well :)

    A glimpse into the future

So last week was my last week employed (work didn't want me coming in and contaminating workers LOL). Pico loved it, but poor guy doesn't get as much as sleep! He has to be close enough to hear if I move, as opposed to me being gone for 9 hours and him sleeping in peace.

I was a bed dog for half the night.

funny thing is, he gets trapped in the garage sometimes, and he NEVER barks. If I am in the garage cleaning something up, he doesn't bark either. He just waits for me at the inside door. Pico has his own rules

I was a bed dog for half the night.

Pico would be soo mad if I kept him out of my bedroom! And he barks. He sleeps mostly in his crate, sometimes on my bed (less in summer), often in the dog bed next to my bed, and in the hallway. I am sure he would sleep on the couch but that isn't close enough to me to properly monitor my...

    Pico has a new ride....me!

He seems to! He really want to be able to see in front of me LOL. But my legs aren't a fan! I'm not ready for an extra 20lbs for an hour hiking up a hill (yet anyway). One thing, people always comment on how cute he is and some even pet him, but the interaction isn't the same. Ans no doggie...

I got to line brush about 1/8 of him! I figured for a first time that was enough for one go LOL. Pico is such a drama queen I have to be super careful not to pull

Yeah, I can see the little dreadlocks in his fur. His tail had like 6! They were still combout-able but significant. His rear is fluffier than the rest of him and I can see it needs a good line brushing (Pico barely tolerates a surface brushing so this is where I need to start).

    A glimpse into the future

Well, Pico officially has a stay at home dog mom now! I think I will have plenty of time to comb him properly (he is not a fan of the comb) , brush his teeth every night (he is OK with this), and work on dog training now :)

    Pico has a new ride....me!

Actually, getting him into the pack is easy (for both of us). the surprising part is that, once he is in the pack, you need to pick it up and swing it over your shoulder. Pico doesn't fuss, which is weird considering he is in odd positions and unsupported. same for taking the pack off. So...

    Pico has a new ride....me!

So this is a K9 sports sack. It has a zipper running down the length. You unzip, have your dog sit on it, put his paws through the arm holes, then zip it up. I did put him in a regular backpack as a test, and I just lifted him up and dropped him in LOL
