- Neechee, my Sheltie was with me for 17 years, before sucumming to a stroke the day after Easter 2010. He was my heart dog, and spent all but 6 weeks of his life with me. We had fun doing obedience, a little agility, and a wee bit of herding. My Border Collie Max was a sweet boy who loved seeing people when we did therapy work as well as herding, obedience, and chasing tennis balls or empty 2 liter soda bottles. Max was the victim of a broken home (my husband got him in the divorce) and died shortly after going to live with my ex. I am now owned by Bela, a 5 year old puppy mill (or hoarder) rescue, who has (despite her many problems) stolen my heart. She is now my constant companion.
