Oh .. and I forgot to add. Yes, if there is a bigger issue with chewing, then they do need to be crated when they can't have the hawk eyes on them. Having gone through 4 dogs dogs it is the only way to really be assured to a) fix the problem and b) not lose all of your posessions to the munch...

Lexi and Kai'a are so similar. Kai'a to, around the 9 month mark, started chewing the corner of the walls and the decorative trim ... especially in the bathroom. Since there is always someone home, and she is really a very good little girl, we only crate her at night and when we leave her...
