I thought they were the same. It’s the bogeyman one I’m registered for.

I registered for one class and one… self guided(?) class. Amy Cook’s play way. And building relationships through play. The course I really want to take isn’t until August so, I figured it’s probably better to do something than nothing while I wait.

I haven’t but I would not be opposed to any exams that might help. I seriously have the most expensive pets :bored:. Watson and his bills after getting attacked by that a-hole pitbull. Roxy and her overnight at the E-vet when she found some lilies-of-the-valley and I learned that even though...

Triggered apparently by nearly everything in life except the propane cannons going off across the road hazing birds at the airport. And yes- we’re outside for it. :gaah:gaah:gaah I’ve told my… guide if you will… into the world of deer tracking that I will likely only do day searches because I...

The list themselves as being in the same town as our vet’s office… it’s only an hour drive. I emailed the regular trainer we’ve been working with who pretty much gave up on her to see if she has any suggestions. I have a vet appointment with Roxy on Tuesday, I’ll ask them then if they have...

Oh no. She can and will go from dead asleep to full on whirling meltdown. I’m with you in her being my responsibility now. The only other place she would conceivably go is back to her breeder. But, when she’s not in full on meltdown mode, she’s a sweet little thing so that’s not really...

Figure out her trigger? Her triggers: The cat, the basement stairs, me walking down the basement stairs, me walking past the basement stairs, the sun, the wind, the birds outside, me looking out the window, me walking near the window, me watering my plants, me feeding my geckos, me cooking...

I guess we’re stuck with an absolutely awful and difficult dog to live with since the behaviorist won’t come work with us and “wishes she knew someone near us to recommend but doesn’t” and our trainer has basically washed her hands of us. Again. She’s the only one except a dog whisper want to...

    Piper’s Pistol Going to Work

I took a practice test for our leashed tracking dog license yesterday. The actual test is April 1. And checking out harnesses.

    So fast. So fast.

Roxy is quite a bit bigger. She’s 19” and around 30-33# and a Piper is probably close to 15” and 19#. She’s a sturdy little thing.

    So fast. So fast.

Sometimes I actually have to look at them now for a second to realize who is who. My mom who claims to love Piper, gets them wrong pretty regularly.

    So fast. So fast.

Piper had grown so much so fast. But both of their expressions have changed too. I think Roxy was maybe still a little shaken by Watson’s sudden disappearance, her twice changed schedule, then the sudden appearance of this little monster who isn’t close enough unless she’s on top of her.

    So fast. So fast.

I’m just going to leave this here. Then and now.

Thank you for this. I would like to have the assessment and at least see what they have to say and see what their methods are. I can’t quite put my finger in what seemed off about it. Nosework really had lit her little fire. We had our breakfast search this morning and she just wanted to keep...

    Piper’s Pistol Going to Work

Yes! I remember them talking about that… reading their dog… when I helped out with the cadaver training! I’m excited to start real classes with her. Another idea I was given was to set up a short walk with little mini searches as we go along for her to do. We are fortunate to live on a very...
