    Question on Seresto....

I hate tick with a passion the only good tick is dead tick but then I am biased. The problem with pest control for ticks and other things is that it kills virtually all insects and spiders that are part of the out doors ecosystem and as much as I hate ticks that is too much for me-- we have...

What to Shelties see when they see"

Shelties are certainly order dogs anything different, moved to a new place or new is of great concern for ours, at least for awhile--they have a very clear idea of where everything is, is supposed to be and in some cases must be. I think that is on reason why brooms and vacuum cleaners are such...

    Question on Seresto....

I agree the yard where the Shelites spend their time is raked free of leaves and brush but it is true if it snows before an arctic cold blast they are protected.. Plus squirrels and chippies run all over the place dumping fleas-- so far we have been lucky and I don't walk them in the winter as...

What to Shelties see when they see"

We use our vision mostly to understand our world but dogs have ears and a tremendous smellier to tell them about their world-- much better in finding hidden information than vision, But yesterday I came into the house from cleaning up doggy loggies and was in the mud room my female Sheltie...

    Question on Seresto....

I hate those systemic flea and tick controls but have to use them as collars don't work with long haired dogs. Fortunately here we have 4-5 months of winter and cold that I can take them off the meds for a bit of rebuilding.

Anyone have experience with Healthy mouth?

Yeah I have an ultrasonic cleaner but I can't get to his or her back molars where the plaque is because I have to hold him, move the lips back then use the tool and I need 3 or 4 hands to do that with a wiggling dog- I have used Petsmile toothpaste which seems to work with their foremost teeth...

    Arthritis pain control

Best of luck to Boots. I have never used DMSO on dogs before does he try to lick it off? Also I have used TENS on my self quite a bit and am surprised Boots tolerates the shocks or buzzes- it has helped me so I am happy to hear it helps him as well.
