What items can be advertised?
The Sheltie Classified Forum is intended to provide an affordable market for individuals wishing to buy and sell inexpensive personal items (such as second-hand apparel and equipment). No dealer or service advertising will be accepted. All ads must include a price, and no items over $1,000 will be accepted. Commercial enterprises are encouraged to place side bar ads.
The Publisher reserves the right to refuse, reject, and cancel any advertisement, for any reason, at any time. Approval of ad copy will be at the discretion of the Classified Forum Moderator.
In the event that an advertisement is refused, payment will be refunded, minus PayPal fees. If you're not sure whether or not your advertisement will be accepted, please e-mail us and ask before submitting payment! We'll be happy to answer your questions.
How much do ads cost?
The cost for premium members is $5.00. Regular members cost is $10. You must be registered as a Sheltie Forums Member (free) to purchase an ad.
Multiple items can be listed in one ad, as long as the items belong in the same category and the total price of the items is less than $1,000.
Once posted, the sales of all ads are final and non-refundable.
Can photographs be included with an ad?
Yes. You may provide links to photographs that you host on your own website or in an online photo album.
If you do not have your own website, you may upload photographs from your computer to your ad, but you must be a Premium Member of the Sheltie Forums to utilize this service. A premium membership is $25 annually. Premium members receive the privilege of posting unlimited photos on other forums, as well as several other benefits.
Do I need to be a member of the Sheltie Forums to place an ad?
Yes. You will need to register a Sheltie Forums username and password. Once you register, you'll receive an email that contains a link you must click on to activate your account. This verifies that you have a valid, working email address associated with your Sheltie Forums account.
Once your Sheltie Forums account is activated, you can purchase an ad.
How does the selling process work?
Interested buyers will contact you privately. Be sure to list your preferred method of contact in your ad -- you may ask buyers to contact you via e-mail, telephone, or private message.
The seller is responsible for collecting payment directly from the buyer. The seller is also responsible for shipping any items sold, and arranging for the payment of shipping costs.
What are the rules?
All ads are accepted upon the representation that 1) the advertiser is authorized to publish the entire contents of the advertisement, and 2) the advertiser is capable of selling the item at the price advertised, and 3) the advertiser is fully authorized and licensed to use the entire contents of the materials submitted as an advertisement including the names and/or photographs of the person and/or animals.
Burden of proof for all advertising claims and assertions rests with the advertiser.
The advertiser agrees to relieve SheltieNation.com, sheltieforums.com and its employees of any responsibility from any and all claims and suits arising from publication of advertising supplied by the advertiser.

How do I place an ad?
Click on the appropriate button below to pay for your ad. You may purchase multiple advertisements of the same type in one transaction. If multiple items are listed in one ad, the total price must be below the limit for the type of ad you have purchased.
Then, post your ad in the appropriate classified forum: Equipment, Apparel, Dog Apparel or Miscellaneous. (If you need more detailed instructions on how to use the forums and how to post a message, read the Classifieds Forum FAQ.)
Your ad will not appear immediately. Instead, it will go into the moderation queue to process copy and payment. Once copy is approved and payment is confirmed, we will make every effort to post your ad immediately, but this process may take up to 2 business days.
Ads will be published exactly as they are posted.. We will take no responsibility for misspellings, unclear, or confusing copy.
Ads will remain online for 30 days, after which time, they will be deleted. You may also delete your ad yourself at any time during the 30 days. While we will make every effort to remove ads promptly, we will take no responsibility for ads that remain up longer than 30 days.
