Wow, it has been awhile.. summer and travel has kept me from sheltieforums but I am back, and with LOTS of updates! Our 2016 is winding down now, with only two trials left this season. What a ride this year has been. Many, many trials, two new titles, so many travel adventures, regionals, and NATIONALS. So, here is my quick 'in a nutshell' recap, with videos and pictures of course 
May and June were a little nutty, with 5 straight weeks of competition. Somewhere in this 5 weeks, Cruz managed to earn his Starters Games Dog of Canada title and his Agility Dog of Canada Title. Not too shabby
AAC Regionals: one of my most favourite events of this year! The weather did not cooperate but apparently rain and cooler weather makes the jet packs come out! Cruz was a flying pistol out there, and not only qualified for nationals but placed 16th out of over 30 16" regular dogs. Good kid! Video below..
USDAA Regionals: the day after regionals, we hopped on a plane and flew to Ontario.. aaand we got to spend the weekend with Ashley (corbinam) + hubby, Lexi, Bentley and Enzo! It was not a very successful event Q-wise to say the least, and our team lived up to their name. Beauty and the Buttheads were just that regardless of results, we had SO much fun. Next year its podium or bust Ashley!!
Finally, UKI Nationals: my most favourite, favourite, favourite event EVER. It was so well put together and organized; footing was great; venue was amazing. Throughout June and July, Cruz was struggling with weaves.. whether he was sore or just being a bratty teenager, I'll never know. But it was frustrating - so my goal for this event was just to WEAVE. Little man did that and MORE. At not even 2 years old, he placed THIRD in the Biathlon in an extremely competitive height class and we got to share the podium with 2 people I really look up to. Video of our biathlon runs below!
So excited to start our winter training plan.. we have plans to head to World Team Tryouts in May so have LOTS of work to do!
