A message from my daughter...

It does seem to be beyond coincidence that both Michelle and I lost a teenage child in tragic circumstances, and both of us received 5 years later, letters posted by the school, and even more bizarre that both had aspirations of doing wildlife photography!

I'm not religious in the true sense, but I do believe that there is something bigger out there, helping to guide our paths. And that things happen for a reason and some ultimate greater good - though perhaps we may never entirely know what that is, or understand how our sacrifices play into it.

Bless you all!

Ya know that inner voice that you sometimes hear..but don't always pay attention to,then something happens, and you know why that inner voice was talking.

I had this feeling,in my first month here on the forum, with every post,I could sense something about you Barb. Some kind of connection. Whether it be coinsidence or even fate.
I can still remember the feeling I had when you mentioned your daughter in a post, some time ago.
One day we shall meet, that I do know.Until then you will always be in my thoughts. There is reason for everything~

Yep, yep, yep!

Don't forget you owe us a visit to A-Bay and to the cottage! I expect that's where its all going to play out.

David will hate this, of course. I can just imagine me telling him that I met these great people on the internet, and they are coming to stay....If you all haven't figured it out yet, David and I are the odd couple.

Well, I'll be working on that.

Well I can attest to having met some WONDERFUL people on the internet. I met my husband while playing backgammon online. And, of course I have met Michele, Jessica (Starr), Beckyboo, HunnyD, Sobiwan, and Adres (Aaron and Savanna) in real life.

Well, not exactly Sheltie Angels....but I did receive a pretty shocking blast last week.

When my daughter was in Grade 9, she was told to write a letter to herself that highlighted where she would be 5 years later. Well, apparently the school kept those letters and sent them on - 5 years later. I picked up the mail last week and found an envelope addressed to Michelle. It took me a full 15 minutes to find the courage to open it. And yes, it was a letter written from Michelle to Michelle. It broke my heart. She said in her letter that she wanted to be a wild-life photographer. Just when I think I've gotten over the worst......this has to happen. This really sucked.

Oh Barb, my heart just aches for you. Misguided, well meaning folks...

Thank you~

I am some better today.Last night Brian came home from work.He calls every night at 8:30,at the time he called last night,I could'nt even speak a word audible to him. It was one of those big waves,I hav'ent had one in awihle, that I find myself being right back at that very moment, 14 years ago, when I could not put one foot in front of the other. Mentally & physically.

I grateful for everyone of you,so very kind & caring.

Grief comes in waves, doesn't it? Sorrow is so like the sea, sometimes still, sometimes lapping gently at our ankles, sometimes roaring over our heads, tumbling us in loss and confusion. May the seas calm for you, Michele.
