I just wanted to post to say thank you for all of your insightful answers! It's great to hear others' experiences, and nice to keep in mind that there is no "right way".

We leave for our cruise tomorrow...so I'll most likely be MIA until we bring Lexi home. "See" everyone then!

Excellent thread- I need to get adjusted to puppy thoughts. Happy and Callie were both adults when I got them- Happy really adjusted pretty well when Callie came to live with us. It'll all be different when Berry comes home though
