I adopted a sheltie in 2010 who was amazing (Crazy!) and won my heart. She unfortunately joined the other angel shelties in October last year. I am finally ready for a new furr baby, but am having a hard time finding a sheltie adoption near Dallas. Any suggestions? Would love to adopt a puppy or a young sheltie.

There are a couple of Sheltie rescues in Texas - check under the rescue tab at the top of the Sheltie Nation page. Then you might also check the ASSA website for breeders in your area. Sometimes breeders will have a young adult available that is not working out as a show dog. Good luck - it's hard to be without a Sheltie when you have had one or more in your life before!
