agility equipment for practice at home?

I have been taking agility class for a while and would like to get more stuff to have at home for practice.

So far at home I have jumps and weave poles. What other equipment should I get?

I found a mini teeter oline I am thinking about. Would it be worth it or would it be hard for Riley to practice on a small teeter at home and then have a normal size one in class?

It depends how serious you are and how easy it is for you to access equipment elsewhere. I'd say that we are fairly serious competitors, and we have a tunnel, several jumps, a tire, weaves, and a dogwalk.

If I could only have a few, I think it is far more important to have jumps, weaves and a tunnel. Jumps and tunnel because you can work so many different sequences varying in difficulty with just those two things. Weaves because unless you have daily access to your training facility they are difficult to teach.

As to contacts, I think you'd be just as good making your own wobble board as a precursor to teeter work and then maybe just a travel plank (ie wooden board!) to practice your end criteria.

Thanks! Maybe I will get a tunnel for practice as it would be cheaper than that teeter.

I want to get more serious about practing at home this summer as I want to start trialing.

I have neighbors who compete with papillions and they have a lot of equipment. They keep to themselves and I need to figure out how to break the ice.

We have that same tunnel for our pups - works great! They don't get the curved experience, but will help them get used to a tunnel.

My mom found me one similar to that, only it has coves on the end that honey needs to push aside to get in and out. Her favorite toy.
