Sting's siblings were out this weekend in NH and made quite a showing in the Yankee Golden Retriever AKC agility trial. Sting was set to make his debut there but I can't run him till after my surgery so I pulled him.Both dogs are in the 12 inch class.Boom had showed the week before at the Cluster and had picked up to Novice standard legs and finished his title yesterday and moves inot Open Standard. He got his first JWW leg with a second place and a time of 23 secs.Well, not to out do him their sister Bindi did not Q in standard but won the JWW with a time of 19 secs.This whole litter is unbeliveable. Sting and his other brother Ice will be out soon.

Sharon sounds like Sting comes from a very athletic family! I cannot wait to hear about Sting's accomplishments.
I have to say, I absolutely love training agility with Maia. It is soooo much fun. I am not sure when we will be ready for our first trail, but we are having fun and she is so good. I know I will have issues with the teeter however. We were set back to square one two weeks ago. She always was timid of heights, but we got her over that and over having things move under her to the point where she loved to go on the wobble board and the teeter that was only 6-8 inches off the ground. But two weeks ago, while training at a new place, they had their teeter out at full height, with a chain on the bottom. She ran up to it and before I could stop her, walked across - it came down LOUD and fast and that was the end of that. It took me 10 minutes to get her to just put two paws on it after that. Now she will not even get near the wobble board either!
Our instructor says that we will have to really work extra hard to desinsitize her or this will come back to haunt us. Oh well, but it is fun isn't it?!?!?

Yikes! Poor Maia!
Sting is 16 months old and he missed a whole month of training because my instructor took a month off and drove to the USDAA Nationals and did shows along the way. She was gone the whole month of Nov.and just got back last week. I am having my minicus repaired and I think recoup time is 10 days.I have been lucky enough to have my instructor work Sting. Sting's breeder just had another litter from the same line and there were 3 pups but one died.If anyone is looking for an agility dog I would say this litter will be awesome also.
