Animal Communicator: Take 2

I wanted to find out more about Miko's health and a few other things going on in my life, so I decided to contact Marta Williams (it's who Chris spoke to in her thread here). I loved the bit about Layla's necklace, so I had to give Marta a try.

I would say she didn't tell me anything I haven't heard before, but it was a good talk. Here's a recap.

Miko:
Questions I had were about his health, if he was in pain, what I could do, etc. How I can make the car ride/trip I'm about to take less stressful for him. And if he wanted to ask me anything or tell me anything. He cracks me up. Gawd I love that dog.

She said his eyesight is going. There's a tooth bothering him (guess I'll have to get that checked out), thyroid maybe, immune system, and allergies. His ears are itchy. She didn't pick up on his kidney's at all which I thought was strange. She did suggest I look into holistic medicines. Acupuncture, chiropractic, etc. Oh, and I guess he really hates fish oil and wants something other than peas every so often. LOL. Okay okay. Different food.

I guess Miko gets motion sickness. He never did before, so I never thought twice about it. She gave me some holistic remedies, which I'll give a try. I may have to do some research as I just want to be sure it won't do anything to his kidneys (it's absorbed via skin, but still, you never know).

When asked if there's anything he'd like to tell me he said, "I want to keep up with Koji and no more shots please". Poor baby. So hopefully acupuncture, chiro appts and maybe a holistic approach will help him. Marta said he's not even close to dying, he wants to live. So, okay, I will do whatever I can. Not time to go yet.

When asked if he's happy and if there's anything I can do to make his life better/happier, OMG, he said he loves mom. Awwww....then he said he loves Koji (really? I wouldn't have guessed that, I just thought he put up with him). Then said that Koji is really going to miss him when he goes. She said I'm going to have to get another dog. So I asked her if Miko would prefer it to be after he goes. She said, "oh yeah, no more dogs for Miko, so you have to wait". LOL. If I was old, I wouldn't want to deal with another dog either. So, I guess I have to wait.

Koji:
Oh man. What a crack up. Same type of questions. Added in agility once again and asked if there was a reason for his aggression. I don't think I asked that last time, only asked what is going on and what can we do to fix it.

She laughed and said "oh wow, he's spoiled, he thinks he's a prince, and gets away with it". Um, oops. We know that's my fault. Yikes. But I have been told this before, so I'm not surprised. We discussed how to change that.

Of course, his reactivity is because he's trying to protect me and my space. So we discussed how to work on that.

I asked about the agility, because it SEEMS like he enjoys it. So I asked her to ask him about it. She said, "there's no love lost there". Yup, he really could careless about it. I told her it seems like he enjoys it and she said "he likes doing it, but doesn't like the other dogs, they irritate him". She went on to say that he doesn't like all the dogs around him, they're in his way, in his face, etc. So I said, "so he probably likes agility when we train since there's a lot fewer dogs" and she said, yes, but even then, he could careless. Dangit. I just signed up for a trial. I honestly do believe that is it. Two communicators have told me he could careless. I will let him enjoy his life w/o forcing him to do it.

HOWEVER, she said, she senses that he'd go bats**t (her word) over herding. She suggested I take him to where they do herding, show him that, ask him if he'd like to do it, and then tell him we can do that when he's better at being around people/dogs. Yup. I guess I have to start doing herding instead. I always thought he'd love it. It's just far and dirty! LOL.

So, at the end, I wanted to find out if he had anything to say to me, or if he's happy, what could make him happier, etc. Are you guys ready for this?

He said, "I'm better than all the other dogs". Marta laughed and said to me, "this is your doing". :o So she told him yes he is, but he has to be a good boy still. :rolleyes2:

Then she said, "um, he said when it's cold, he wants a coat". and I said, "WHAT!!!" And she explained that he wants a coat like his brother. For those that don't know, I just bought a Back on Track coat for Miko to help with his arthritis, it's a coat/blanket that you drape over the dog to basically keep them warm (way more to it than that, but you get the gist). Oh dear. Where is the banging the head against a wall emoticon??? I guess Koji wants a coat like his brother. She said it doesn't have to be exact, but yes, go buy him a coat. :rolleyes2:

He cracks me up. I guess that's why he's got such a big head. I let it go, cuz it's cute. Oh jeez.

So there's my take 2. Interesting about Miko's health. I think I may ask about his thyroid, if they've tested for it, if they will, etc. Poor thing, they always pull blood every time I go in, no wonder he hates needles. I'll get his tooth checked out too. Guess I'll be buying Koji a coat. I would have gotten him the same kind if he was going to do agility, but he doesn't really need that expensive one otherwise. Trip to Petsmart? :rolleyes2: (yes more rolling eyes).

Oh, and Koji loves the car and going on trips. So he has no issues driving. Good. I have a long trip coming up. Hopefully I can help Miko stay calm and not be sick. I don't want to stress him out. Glad to know Koji enjoys the car ride.

You know. Since I have had really good trainers tell me a lot of the same things about Koji, I can't help but believe them (the communicators). He thinks he's royalty. LOL. And Miko knows he's a good boy, which he is. I guess what blows my mind is about all this is that I did it over the phone. To me, that is more genuine (and forces you to believe more) than a person who meets the dogs (because they can read body language - hence my comment about good trainers). Typically I see it as "entertainment" value, but if it helps their health, I'm willing to research and try things.

Since it's warm this weekend, I guess I don't have to get Koji a coat quite yet. OMG. I'm still laughing over that.

Isn't it amazing??? The coat thing -- reminds me, yes, of Layla and her necklace -- which she wears where she goes out to do therapy.

I just laughed. I was wondering if something weird was going to come out of that, as I thought of Layla and her purdy necklace. Granted, Koji only wants one cuz his brother has one, but still, I'm like, "he wants a coat??!! (blanket) Because he's cold? What in the world!?!?" he's so silly.

OMG. I just looked behind me. He's on the couch with his head on a pillow. I gotta get a picture of that. And just for cuteness factor, I've attached the photo.
